Surgical Mart Rabbit and Rodent Molar and Premolar Extraction Forceps 132mm Rodent Molar and Premolar Forceps 5.2″ (132mm) Serrated Angled Jaws for Cheek Teeth Extraction Veterinary Instruments These handheld forceps are specially designed for the removal of premolar and molar teeth in rabbits and rodents, with serrated teeth for maximum grip. The forceps jaws are narrow and angled to improve access to the cheek teeth.
The forceps are designed to grip teeth without crushing. The rodent molar and premolar forcep is used to lift out the molars, after cutting the ligaments with an elevator.
Once the tooth periodontal ligament has been broken down and the molar/premolar is sufficiently loosened, these extraction forceps will grasp the tooth and provide sufficient grip to gently apply force and remove the tooth. The forceps are slim and angled to help reach the molars/premolars without excessively obscuring the surgeon’s view.
Care must be taken to ensure the tooth is sufficiently loose to prevent fracturing the root. RODENT MOLAR AND PREMOLAR EXTRACTING FORCEPS
